Sutekh’s second post is simply a link to a site that all fans of Star Wars should take note of. The X0 Project is attempting to remaster various editions of the original trilogy Laserdiscs, using the highest quality Pioneer Laserdisc player (the X0), in order to make the definitive near-DVD quality masters of the pre-Special Edition Star Wars trilogy.

Some very interesting and detailed articles on the technical process behind the restoration work. It’s sure to be a damn site better than the recent ‘original editions’ that were officially released, in all their non-anomorphic, non-restored glory.
